Is this hat available without the ribbon band?
i checked my hat, and it can be untied from the back and i guess it leaves you with an option to take it off only it is kind of fixed to the hat by some kinda sticky substance but i think the choice is there, i would try pull it off but i like mine the way it is, so good luck with yours :)

Is the band on the inside of the hat also made out of leather, or is there some kind of synthetic material on the inside of the hat which is not shown
this hat has been made with a synthetic material on the inside of the hat which creates more comfort for the wearer.
