\r\n \r\n \r\n Wrangler Cowboy Cut jeans are a Western Wear icon. The Cowboy Cut jean was built to the detailed specifications of top rodeo athletes with features designed for riding - but great for every cowboy - including heavyweight denims, rivets on all pockets, strong double stitched outseams, and higher positioned back pockets. These 31MWZ Cowboy Cut Wrangler jeans feature the rigid jean look every cowboy can appreciate. This 31MWZ denim jean has a roomier seat & thigh than the 13MWZ jean. Jeans sit comfortably at waist. Button waist and zipper fly. Traditional five-pocket styling. Rivets & "W" stitching on back pockets. Imported. Most denim fabric is heavily starched before being cut and sewn into denim jeans. This starch isn’t washed or treated out of "rigid" denim jeans - giving them a crisp finish and unaltered fit that many a cowboy swear by. Rigid jeans soften and may slim down a bit with repeated washing and wear. The quality rigid jean is a smart buy since itÆs less expensive than its pre-washed jean fit counterpart. The reasonably priced rigid denim jean sports a handsome, dark denim color that cowboys, and city guys alike, can appreciate without dipping deep into their pocketbooks. \r\n \r\n Note: Wrangler rigid jeans may arrive slightly longer than requested. This is to compensate for shrinkage after initial washing.
what is the difference between prewashed and rigid in the 31 mwz
what is the difference between prewashed and rigid in the 31 mwz . The prewashed states 17" straight leg opening fits easily over boots in the description and Rigid states 16" straight leg opening.
Other than perhaps a slight difference in the leg opening, the main difference seems to be that the prewashed have had all the heavy starch washed out of them before coming to retail. I also would assume it may limit how much they will shrink after you wash them.

Not that I have seen. But different products may be offered in other areas. Here in Texas we take our jeans seriously, most men wouldn't be caught dead in a pair of stretch jeans.

How much do these jeans shrink? If I measure out at 38X34 what size should I order to allow for shrinkage? Or my son who measures at 38X32 what size should he order?
I just recently switched to Wrangler jeans and my experience so far has been good. I ordered my normal size and the jeans came slightly larger to account for shinkage. I can't say what they will be like after 20 washes, but after 3 or 4 washes we're still good.
