Although this belt is wider than I wanted (1-1/2"), I liked it's simplicity of design. It's understated look makes for a fashionable belt that you can wear with just about anything, and is especially suited for your favorite jeans. The belt looks exactly as displayed online. A few caveats: The leather is supposedly "bridal quality", yet I feel that may be a bit of a stretch, and the stitching looks a bit lightly done as well. Overall, a good non-intrusive belt with a sturdy JD buckle that hopefully will last.
Pros: Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design

These Ariat Sierra work boots are all you need for a great all-round boot. My primary use is for riding and training horses, and after just one day they were extremely comfortable for this and any other adventure. Used with light Merino boot socks, they were a perfect fit in my regular shoe size. The pull tabs are made of healthy leather with durable stitching and they also have removable inner gel-enhanced foot pads. Tread design is moderately aggressive yet they slip out of a stirrup easily and do not collect 10 acres of dirt. I ordered these in the darker 'Brick' color that is softer in look and feel, providing a classic understated look. Some urban cowboys will no doubt want more bling, but if you appreciate a classy, comfortable "pull-on and go" boot - well here ya go.

Just received my 13MWZ's and the fit and feel of these jeans is still all Wrangler. The colors are great in this line and my Trail Dust pair lived up to expectations. Only downside is the slightly lighter weight denim and some areas of rough stitching. For a more substantial material I would recommend the premium washes, but there you will be limited to the blue denim rinses. All in all, these are still a good purchase however, as they are very comfortable and the fit is spot on.
Pros: Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design
Cons: Low Quality Material

Best jeans I have ever worn for riding horses. Wish a few more color options were available, but can't complain about the fit and finish of the standard washes - soft and comfortable with no tugs or pinches. Plus, these seem to be perfect for shorter frames with a rise that won't restrict a rider. I ordered these 2" longer than my standard inseam and they lay on my boots perfectly (on or off the horse). Heartily recommended.
Pros: Durable, Comfortable, Great Fit
Cons: lack of color options

sole good for horseback riding?

I'm inexperienced horesback riding and was told I need smooth soled boots for horseback riding. I see these boots are not smooth soled and am wondering if they would work for horseback riding?
The Ariat Sierra work boots have a tread design that works well with my endurance saddle equipped with ez-ride trail stirrups. While not totally smooth, the tread is not deep enough to interfere with ingress/egress of the stirrup. I think they would also work fine with English irons as well - they are that resilient. I love them.
