Stetson Hat sizes

Curious why you don't add the 'Head Type' on the Stetsons. For example there is a 'long oval', 'wide oval' & 'round oval' or 'regular oval' (they are the same). This would help in ordering hats and getting the correct size. This would be relevant to all western hats.

The sizes for shoes/boots are confusing, ie what does the letters behind the numbers mean; "D" "E" "EE" etc and how can you meassure the width??
