I have a pair very similar to this boot. Same style. The shorter shaft boots are VERY difficult to get on. Once on, you are okay, as mine stretched to acccomodate my high instep. Looking back, I would have got a 6.5 versus the 6, simply due to getting them on!
Pros: Durable, Quality Construction, Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material
Cons: comfy but not real padded footbed

This is my second pair of OG's and I fell in love the instant I took them out of the box! Mine are the brass/brown color and the accent colors are not as bold as with the black. Not limiting what you can wear with them as much as the black or red.. This brand of boot is the most unique and beautiful I have ever seen. I even have men complimenting and men never compliment on this type of boot (where I live), but only the 6 inch spike heel! LOL! Every time they are on my feet, they draw attention. A very wise purchase/
One note to some of the people who commented on running big....if you are accustomed to western/cowboy boots, they DO NOT run big. I wear a 6 across the board in this type of boot. A super high dress boot, shoe or sandal, I often have to get a 7. Western boots are cut and fit differently. Please take that into consideration when purchasing.
Pros: Durable, Value, Quality Construction, Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material, attractive design is not enough! they are way hot!
Cons: although comfy the footbed has little padding.

I formerly was dyed in the wool, FRYE. UNTIL I found an even more expensive boot! LOL! WHY I have to choose the most expensive, but trust me, I will not go back to FRYE., but cannot compare to OG's.. Quality/craftmanship is excellent! The styles.... they speak for themselves! These are my newest pair (like I needed more) and have not actually worn them. I had to get a 6.5 as they were out of my normal 6. I feel with thick enough socks, they will be fine. I have another pair of black (Can't remember the style name), but are short. They are SO difficult to get on, I felt going with the 6.5 would be the safest! I feel they do run tru to size; width as well as length. As $$ allows, I will continue to purchase! Kinda a boot junkie! This boot is much prettier when you see them, than what pictures portray and although a thin footbed, still really comfy with no break in time! Worth the $$$!
Pros: Durable, Quality Construction, Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material, very unique for my area
Cons: footbed is not very padded

My size

Hi, I am a size 8 1/2 in most shoes/boots. I have a long, narrowish width foot, should I stick to an 81/2 in these or 9 ?

BTW, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE BOOTS. I am an avid boot collector, going back to 92' and these would be a great fit for my collection.

S
If you are a accustomed to this type of boot, I would go with the 8.5. They will stretch just a lilttle. I'm pretty sure you can return/echange. Well worth the $$$!

These boots are GORGEOUS! Check out my reviw!

How tall is the heel?

Without measuring, I THINK it's about 2 inches.
