Cool, comfortable and very, very cute...

I bought this dress last summer but did not submit a review at the time. Likely because I had not worn it yet! I wore it twice last week. It is a nice cool fabric for summer. It's a very bright blue-y turquoise, and the styling is simple and flattering. I wore it to a Rodney Crowell concert recently, and it looked and felt great, too. It washes in the machine with no "issues", requires little to no ironing, and the fabric is easy care, yet not too thin. I would recommend to anyone.

Will need some work to be wearable

I would not recommend this product as is, because it is incomfortable inside the sleeves. The seams are unfinished, and the fabric beyond the seams sticks out and is somewhat abrasive to my arms. And for that reason it is too uncomfortable to wear w/o fixing this problem, meaning that it I may need to have a professional stitch the seams down. So, It would have to be cheaper still to compensate for this drawback.

Beautiful jacket!

First of all, I love that it is not suede, which is impossible to clean to my satisfaction in light colors like this. And I want to be clear, the description may call it brown, but I would not. It is a bright golden tan, and will go perfectly with a pair of Corral boots I have in the same color. I did not buy the matching boots, but the ones I have, the same golden tan with dk. brown inlays, look just as great with it. I have not really worn it yet except to try on, because I bought it too late for the colder seasons. So I cannot yet report if there are any problems with getting rain on it, etc. But I will say the fit was fine, although I did buy a size larger as it runs snug. It has great-looking details, like the asymmetrical zipper opening and the beautiful wings/heart pattern on the back.
Pros: Value, Quality Construction, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material, i cannot yet evaluate comfort or durability.

I love the color and the pattern

I would recommend this shirt if asked, as long as no one will do you the "favor" of putting it in the dryer. Like many other western shirts, this one will most definitely shrink if you do, unless it was on cool or air dry, NO heat. I made the meddlesome person in my household who put mine in the dryer, buy a replacement, as it shrank seriously and I liked it that well. Aside from this issue, I like the fabric, the fit, and the blue is sooo pretty, I will guard this one carefully. For a shirt with a low price tag, I did not find it to be poorly made, as the shrinkable factor is so common I do not think of it as a defect. I expect I will wear it many times.

Great hat but....

I would recommend this hat all right, I wore it many times and got a lot of compliments on it, but I will stipulate that it only comes in one size and does run large-- thus I would only recommend it to someone with a big head and dense hair, OR someone who does not mind padding the inner band. I normally wear a sz. M or 7 hat, so I took adhesive weatherstripping in 3" lengths and placed them under the inside hatband, front and back, to customize the snugness. This works very well, and will remain in place and concealed, but for those folks who do not want this bother, only buy if you are pretty sure it will fit as is. It is a smart lookin' hat, with a hatband that dresses it up, but not too flashy.

I bought this hat twice, because the first one got a scorch mark from a flying ember, and though it was small, I didn't like that I could see it on the red fabric. So I bought it again. Never fear that the hat looks low quality or "cheesy" just because it is not expensive, it is of a nice wool felt and the band is attractive even though the heart concho on the front is obviously not silver--this did not upset me. Do keep in mind that the styling is genuine, but that the hat is of the "crushable" type rather than the rigid style, which allows for a little more flexibility in the fit. Also, as a number of reviews state, it does run noticeably larger than most of my sz. medium hats, but Sheplers does have an accommodating return/exchange policy if the size is way off, or if it is mildly so, a 3" piece of adhesive weatherstripping placed under the inside band in both the front and back will be hidden, and will fix the problem.
Pros: Durable, Value, Quality Construction, Comfortable, Attractive Design, Quality Material
Cons: runs quite large

How do I know the sizing on certain boots
I purchased Dan post boots out west this year and they are size 7.5 I normally wear 8.5 ..just not sure what size to order
That's a tricky Q, because clearly not all bootmakers stick to the same size guidelines to simplify matters. As it happens, though I do own a number of different boot brands, I don't have any Dan Post, so my experience with them is zip. If you have a boot store near you that carries Dan Post, you could try on a pair in a similar style--(the same shape, height, toe, etc.) and order the size that fits, because bootmakers at least standardize their sizes for styles with the same shape of last. If not, why not call Sheplers customer service and ask if this particular boot runs large? They will often state on the page an alert to let customers know if a style runs a bit larger or smaller than they would order, but if they do not, you can ask.

How black do they look, Ive read that they are more brown?
Well, I don't own these, but I have seen them in the store. I would call them a "distressed" black finish, you know, the sort of faded-looking black finish that is so popular on boots right now, (like a lot of Corral boots have). Because it is a lighter black, in the light it appears more like a dark brown. If you want a solid black, like you might want with a Johnny Cash, black head-to-toe look, these are not the boots for that. The two advantages of the brownish-black finish that I see: 1) it goes really well with either black or brown jeans or skirts, if you're into color coordinating. 2) with the "leopard" print inlays, the subtler finish would look more more artfully conceived than the stark contrast a solid black finish would provide with any inlays of that size that were not also black. In other words, the designer might have felt that would have looked too flashy or downright gaudy, instead of strikingly attractive. My guess is they tried both, and this finish was perfect with the inlays.

Is this jacket water-proof? Can I use it during snow and rainy days?
Well, to be honest, it has not yet got cold enough to wear mine, so I can't rightly say. My strong feeling is, no, not waterproof, but likely to resist a sprinkle here or there. OTOH, I would not want to risk getting it really drenched in a downpour, since it is a beautiful golden tan color which might stain or darken up. So, to be safe, I would say, wear it if snow is on the ground, but not if it is snowing out. And If it starts to sprinkle while wearing it, be prepared to take cover quick if it starts to pour.

How long will these take to come in?
I do live in the United States, and was just wondering with an estimate how long these would take to come in after they've been ordered?
Are they on back order? If so, you will have to call toll free customer service to find out, but otherwise everything I have ever ordered from Sheplers takes 5 business days to arrive. It might take less if you are closer to wherever they ship from, KS or OK, ! forget.

How high is the shaft?
The site description says this is a 13" high shaft. Since I don't own these boots, I cannot vouch for this, but I do own a pair of blue Laredo boots, and they look to be about that height-- on the tall side-- plus I am pretty sure that this boot maker has standardized heights, foot lasts, etc. This means that all boots in a certain style will be cut the same height. (These are really cool looking, too!)

when selecting a boot size, availability not until 7/11/12. does this mean there is no stock or boots available until the date displayed.?
Well, I am just a customer, too, but I have run across this a number of times, not only for boots. That is just what it means, that they will not become available until the date displayed. Sometimes the previous stock is all sold out, other times the item is brand new and still being manufactured. The reason they put the availability date next to the size is because if it is a previously sold item, they may have some stock left in the size(s) listed, (w/o a date next to them), but not in everything, at least until the availability date.

What is the sizing chart for this item?

It happens I own this very shirt. I bought in my usual size and it fit very well. I have never measured the length, but I can do that. Width is going to vary with the size. I would buy this shirt again, (I am so taken with the beautiful shade of blue), with one caveat: wash in the machine in *cold* water, and either line dry or put in the dryer on air dry setting, NO heat. Fabric softener in the cold rinse will help keep the fabric from wrinkling so much, as will using the cool dryer. I will measure the length for you, but it may be more helpful to tell you it was not too short, in the sleeves or in the body, even when tucked in, and I am a fairly tall woman --5'7". (I always tuck, to show my belts). After my husband put it in a hot dryer, it was too short everywhere, so I bought it again, I liked it so well. (See review). Now I see that it only goes in the dryer on air dry!
OK, from the base of the collar to the bottom of the hem, it is 24 1/2 ". The sky blue and the detailing make it very very pretty.
