I LOVE these boots!!! I'd been looking for a pair of new boots online for awhile. I ended up purchasing the Old West Distressed Leather Boots in dark brown and am THRILLED with them!
They were shipped quickly and I received them promptly (sooner than I was expecting, actually#
I love the distressing, which is slight, but will help to hide and scuffs/scratches/etc. when worn. #I also water-proofed mine with a spray as soon as they came#
I was initially worried that they would fit too snugly around my calves, but I have PLENTY of room. #My calf is 14" at the widest part around) In fact, I have enough space to wear a pair of jeans tucked in and will still probably have room to spare.
I usually wear an 8-8.5 in other boots/shoes/heel, depending on the brand, but I got an 8.5 in these boots. I'm glad I did becuase they fit well with a pair of socks. (Sheplars also sends a sheet explaining "how the boot should fit" with your purchase. (Cowboy boots should allow your heel to 'slip' and be a more snug fit across the top arch of your foot)
If you're considering buying these boots, do it!! You won't be sorry!! :)
I can't wait to wear mine out on the town, to upcoming concerts and just in general!! I'm planning on wearing them mostly with shorts/dresses, but know they'll look awesome with jeans too, either tucked in, or over!!
Pros: Value, Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material

\r\n Handmade designer Old Gringo cowboy boots for her \r\n Inspirational red heart, wing, and scrolling floral detail on vintage black leather \r\n Leather upper, lining, insole, heel, & sole \r\n Tinting, abrasions, & scarring on leather add vintage cowboy boot character \r\n Hand-driven lemonwood pegs \r\n FIT NOTE: If you wear a wide width, we recommend ordering 1/2 size larger than your normal size \r\n Vendor style: 0346504 \r\n \r\n \r\n \r\n Old Gringo was founded on a single goal: creating western footwear that combined the best materials with the skills of exceptional craftsmen. Women’s Old Gringo Boots are handmade following an incredible 110-step process. To meet the rigorous demands of their designs, Old Gringo produces and tans its own leathers, developing exclusive textures, colors, and finishes. The Grace cowgirl boot features a distressed black leather foot under a matching 13" leather shaft. All-over embroidery. Black leather piping. Sanded leather sole. 1 1/2" cowboy boot heel. Single stitched welt. Snip toe profile. Shaft circumference is 15" (based on a size 7B). \r\n \r\n \r\n Please note, boots will come shipped to you slightly crumpled. You may notice that the toes of the boots, even with the weight of your feet, will be turned upwards - more so than standard cowboy boots. Not to worry. This is part of the finishing process and vintage character of these boots. When you slip your feet into them, they’ll feel like you’ve had them for years. \r\n

My size

Hi, I am a size 8 1/2 in most shoes/boots. I have a long, narrowish width foot, should I stick to an 81/2 in these or 9 ?

BTW, I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THESE BOOTS. I am an avid boot collector, going back to 92' and these would be a great fit for my collection.

Hi, I'd stick with an 8.5. I just bought these boots too and LOVE THEM!!! I have a more narrow foot and usually wear between an 8 - 8.5 in a "normal" boot/shoe/heel (depending on the brand.) These boots are a good fit with socks, and will easily accomodate jeans with some room to spare. (the largest part of my foot, right below my toes, joint to joint, is 4" (across the top,) from the middle of my arch, to the opposite side of my foot is 5.5" across the top of my foot. My arch is about 3" across, on the sole of my foot.) Hope you get these boots and this helps! Enjoy.
