Since 1911, <a href=http://www.sheplers.com/tony-lama.html>Tony Lama has been crafting legendary western boots. As a soldier and cobbler for the U.S. Cavalry at Fort Bliss, Texas, Tony Lama's expertise as a custom boot maker spread quickly among cowboys and ranchers throughout the Southwest. Today, these legendary boots blend that superior craftsmanship with modern technology. This Centennial Collection boot for him features a cognac century leather foot under an 11" matching leather shaft with fancy stitching. <a href=http://www.sheplers.com/go/tony_lama_mens_boots.cfm>Men's Tony Lama Boot boasts a triple-density insole board. Stabilizing spring steel shank. Single stitched 3/4 Goodyear welt. Medium toe profile and 1 3/8" block heel with commemorative metal plate.
Over the years I've wornTony Lama boots and other brand boots, but Tony Lama is the brand that just fits. The Cognac Centennial Collection boot is an all leather, traditionally constructed boot. The hand pegged shank provides the fit a boot is supposed to have. The Centennial leather is a bit stiff when you first slide on the boot, but soon losens up. This is an oiled type of leather, so an all-purpose leather cleaner/conditioner is recommended by the manufacturer. The fit of the boot is a bit snug, but not tight. I love these boots and the "century" badging really makes them a treasure. I also found Shepler's guidelines and videos on boot fit very helpful.
