I got these boots in the mail today and was surprised they are significantly more beautiful out of the box than they are looking at them on the Internet. The threaded accent on the toe and heel area shimmers in the light and looks great.
The fit is fine, and true to size. I ordered my shoe size and the boots fit good. I was looking for something black and subtle, that would go with lots of things... and in that regard these boots area a total win.
The only thing that keeps these boots from being a 5 star for me is that on the right boot where there is a seam between the foot of the boot and upper section it rubs against my ankle and irritates. No problem with the left boot, just the right one. I think this problem will go away as the leather there softens up and flexes, and heavier boot socks would also probably help.
I really love these boots and will be wearing them a lot!

\r\n Handmade designer Old Gringo cowboy boots for her \r\n Beautiful tan dragon embroidery decorates foot and shaft; studs adorn leather overlays on toe and collar \r\n \r\n Leather upper, lining, insole, heel, & sole \r\n Tinting, abrasions, & scarring on leather add vintage cowboy boot character \r\n Hand-driven lemonwood pegs \r\n FIT NOTE: If you wear a wide width, we recommend ordering 1/2 size larger than your normal size \r\n \r\n \r\n Old Gringo was founded on a single goal: creating western footwear that combined the best materials with the skills of exceptional craftsmen. Women’s Old Gringo Boots are handmade following an incredible 110-step process. To meet the rigorous demands of their designs, Old Gringo produces and tans its own leathers, developing exclusive textures, colors, and finishes. The Dragon cowgirl boot features a bone leather foot and 13" shaft with tan leather overlays at toe and collar. Ornate dragon embroidery in a tan hue adorns the vamp and shaft. Studs line overlays on toe and collar. Sanded leather sole.  Cowgirl heel. Single stitched welt. Snip toe profile with exaggerated toe spring. Imported.  \r\n \r\n Please note, boots will come shipped to you slightly crumpled. You may notice that the toes of the boots, even with the weight of your feet, will be turned upwards - more so than standard cowboy boots. Not to worry. This is part of the finishing process and vintage character of these boots. When you slip your feet into them, they’ll feel like you’ve had them for years. \r\n

I bought these boots at Sheplers. Using a coupon code they had the best price I could find. It was suggested that someone buying these boots should purchase the shoe size that they usually wear. I was worried about that with the long pointy toe on these boots. But i ordered my usual shoe size and the boots fit well.
I have narrow feet and these boots are snug across the instep. The advice that Sheplers gives that if you have a wider foot to order a half a size up is no doubt good advice. People with narrow feet will probably be ok with their usual shoe size, as I was.
I love the crumbled, worn leather look on the outside of the boots. The qualities of the leather make the boots look and feel like old friends the first time I put them on. I really appreciate that the boots are not stiff.
The embroidery shimmers in the light and the boots are quite beautiful. They really are a work of art. They are extremely well constructed. While one reviewer at another site said she had to have help getting them on and off, that isn't my experience at all. They are easy to get on and off.
If you are not used to wearing high heels, as I am not, the heels on these boots are high enough to change the alignment of your hips when you walk.
Oh i know they are kind of expensive. But go on....treat yourself! :-)
Pros: Durable, Quality Construction, Comfortable, Great Fit, Attractive Design, Quality Material, unique beautiful design, you will never need to polish them

Are these boots true to size?

I bought these boots in my regular shoe size and they fit fine. They are sufficiently snug in the heel and have enough room in the toe area to be comfortable.

Sizing

Hi there,

I am from Australia and VERY interesting in purchasing the Boulet Tooled Shaft Cowgirl Boots - Square Toe boots as well as another pair (Justin Stampede Cattleman CowGirl Boots) from you but I have a couple concerns.

Firstly, do you have the Boulet Tooled Shaft Cowgirl Boots in a B (Standard/normal width) - I understand that C stands for Wide Width and I am concerned these will be too wide for me. I normally wear a B (normal width) or a narrow width.

More importantly, your sizing conversion chart. It doesn't seem correct. I am normally an Australian size 8 1/2 or 9. According to your sizing chart that is a US Size 10. In some other places that I look, the conversion describes US sizing being SMALLER then AU (an Australian size 8 is a US size 7), but in your conversion chart I would be a 10. There is a huge difference between a 7 and a 10 and I want to be certain I am ordering the right size, particularly since I want to buy 2 boots. My foot measures 25.5 cms. Can you recommend the size for me?
I was a bit concerned by the "C" width too, since in shoes made in the United States I take "B" width. These boots do not fit really snug, but they are fine.
